Welcome

IKNC 2023 Feb. Material Engineering and Applied Sciences will be held on Feburary 17-19, 2023 in Seoul, Korea. (Online)
The topic: Computer-Aided Design and its Application in Materials Engineering and Medicine.
In the 21st century, the emphasis is on increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of design and production processes and systems. Industry 4.0 aims, among other things, to use digital design and production in the widest possible range of applications.
Computer-aided modelling has revolutionized many aspects of modern life and reducing research and development cost and obtaining optimally designed materials.
Computer-aided design (CAD) involves creating computer models defined by geometrical parameters. CAD systems enable designers to view objects in a wide variety of representations and test these objects by simulating real-world conditions.
Since both CAD and CAM (Computer-aided manufacturing) use computer-based methods to encode geometrical data, it is possible for the processes of design and manufacture to be highly integrated.
Including information into a CAD software about the nature of materials—weight, tensile strength, flexibility, etc. is essential for a perfect design.
Computer design is a crucial part of any single part development nowadays and this fact adds to the emphasis on a more accurate material behavior description from material models point of view as well as from the experimental characterization of the stress-strain behavior of the materials investigated under complex loading conditions
3D Modeling services are no longer restricted to the manufacturing and design industries.
For engineers, simulation is a check system for the parts produced and how well the mechanical component can endure stress, deflection, or repeated cycle movement.
However, the simulation landscape is expanding and embracing newer technologies. The field of medicine, for example, integrates computer-aided design, modelling, and simulation to help doctors perform medical procedures.
Computer-aided design (CAD) plays a crucial role in improving biomedical systems for a variety of applications. CAD tools are extensively being used towards bringing about advancements and new developments, such as designing and manufacturing personalized medical devices, prostheses and implants, organ and tissue simulation, healthcare diagnosis and management. CAD is also used in the drug design and delivery system with targeted biomolecules.
The world of computer-aided design becomes more realistic with every technological step forward. As we progress in creating more and more real-world-like models, the applications will be expanded not just for engineering, but also in other areas.
The aim of this conference is to offer a survey of the CAD applications in the fields of materials engineering and medicine by providing a platform for sharing ideas and expertise. We want the conference to offer an opportunity for Scientists and Industry to exchange the knowledge and experience. This would be also a wonderful opportunity for networking and to cultivate everlasting friendships among fellow partners.
Finally, on behalf of the Organizing Committee, we would like to invite the entire Scientific Community to participate in this project by presenting papers or communications related to the proposed topics.
At this International Conference, we will select papers for presentation through a fair review, and selected papers will be recommended for publication in the following SCI(E) Journals after an additional review process and require an additional publication charge.
